Fabcraft has good stuff. Everything in my 9.3 came from them.

I snapped a Mark Williams 31 spline axle in a 11 flat car. Anything can break. Went to 40 spline Mosers. Mark Williams was just too much money for me in 40 spline gun drilled. I got 40 spline gun drilled star flanged Mosers for a LOT less..

I've got the Strange 35 spline spool and axles in my Dana 60 and no issues at all. So would say there are a very good quality axle. I think a spool and axle kit with bearings and retainers was about 600. It was a lot better deal to buy it all at once. Plus the splines will match with spool.

One the the racers in my gasser group actually lost control of his truck and wrecked it, it had a mismatched axle on one side and splines gave away going down the track,.

I believe this is exactly why the doubled spline length, which occurred after they had to to respline them, helped lead to the twisting, whether or not 31 spline is marginal for my application. From Mark Williams website: "It’s important to note that each and every axle manufactured by Mark Williams Enterprises, including its economical MasterLine brand, is custom-made for the exact application. There are “racing” axles on the market that are produced in gang runs with long splines, which are merely chopped off to provide the desired overall length. This usually creates a situation where the splines are much longer than needed which make them prone to twisting. When the axle lengths are calculated correctly and axles individually produced the spline length can be optimized for the spool or differential being used."

Ran a 9.3 for 15yrs in my 62. Summers Bros 35 spline spool, Moser axles. Custom driveshaft with 1350 joints. Timken bearings. T400 and drag radials. Only breakage was original driver side bearing cap.
