i think if he did it, it would only be competitive in no prep. If he wants to do that he can, everyone loves a challenge, but he would still be an under dog. Thats why we love our pontiacs anyway.
i do not know if cv1 are better than, worse than or equivalent to warp 6s, also i have stated, big chief/justin should be faster with his cv1s than his eheads. He must consider it an advantage to spot the field 1500 horse power

481x engines have won lots no prep, probably more than any other engines by a decent margin

I don't know the answer to that either. But I am sure that there are some here who will give you an answer to that yet don't know either.

You would think if Justin was going to run the CV-1s they would already be on a engine testing. He has had them for a long time now.
They did not make it on the car this year and I bet (anyone?) they never do. He stated how much reliability means to him and just won a No Prep with std E heads. Its not broke and it does not look like it needs fixing.

Maybe Justin will think about Warp heads now that Tommys car is performing so well!

If I was running a high boost application, I would want my push rods to be as straight as possible. The size of the hole of the intake port would be an afterthought. That's just me though...

How much difference in the angles between the wide port eheads and the warp/cv1 heads?

I would think the head designed to have an angle to them would be better than one that is extremely modified to work?

The BBC cars seem to work good.

I would go with better flowing heads, myself.

John,
On the flow bench you are flowing at steady state. If the push rod angle causes valve train problems and does not let the engine run in the RPM range it needs to the flow is of no use.

There are no less then 8 race cars at the Pontiac race that have Warp 6 heads on them that are actually racing, doesn’t seem to be any problems with valve train.

That's a bingo. Big difference in sucking vs pushing. Pull a rope vs push a rope. Rope still moves. One method more efficient then the other.
