Default Decoding dates on glass

How do you decode the dates on glass? I need a replacement for my 71 GTO driver side rear window and want to match the date as close as possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey John was PPG and LOF the only 2 factory company's to make rear heated glass. I'm looking at a rear heated glass out of a 70 Lemans Sport and it says DCI or DCL was wondering if it was factory or aftermarket replacement. Cant find any info on that glass

Soft Ray
SAFETY DCI FLO-LITE
AS-2 AL69
SOLID TEMPERED
HEATED
DOT-19 M-16.1

Thanks Chris

Not sure on this one, without looking it up.

But I'd say the date code may be Sept 1974 or possibly June 1979.
But I'd say a replacement.

Pretty sure 1970 would still be LOF or PPG.

Have a pic of the codes?

Pic of Chris' glass code:

I'd say probably Sept 1974 date.

Might be able to find when the DOT-19 went into effect?

Found this on the DOT-19

DOT19 PPG CANADA INC.,DUPLATE DIVISION OSHAWA,ONTARIO, CANADA

May be factory replacement, but not sure of the date.
Pretty sure it's not 1970, though.

Is the car built at Oshawa?

Not sure if it was a Canadian built car. It was taken apart a while ago in Ohio. Not that means anything. Car was a very well optioned 70 lemans sport. That's all we know unfortunately

And, the heated glass is dated '69 (probably Dec.).

Sorry I led Chris astray.
