Default 65 Tempest Custom trim question

My 16 year old son has a 65 Tempest Custom 4 door. It is originally Teal Turquoise with a teal interior. My question is, is there paint in the groove in the belt line trim, and if so, what color would it be? The car sat in a junkyard for almost 30 years, and I can't find any trace of paint on the trim.

Thanks,
Importsmasher

Thanks! He found a couple online, and we saw a 66 of questionable originality at a car show last weekend and they were all black.

Teal probably would look good, but for some reason he wants to keep it looking original. Lol
