Thanks for the response, but i am sure i can not afford your car.I am looking for an unrestored low mile car. That sounds like a killer car, though.

I could look at it for you if it's still available (only about 15 mins. from my home). And, it's been on eBay before.

If Brian is the owner of the car,i would like to talk to him,if its still available.I could never understand how someone could put a car for sale on ebay with no phone number.Have you ever seen the car?

No. I tried to see it when it was up for auction in Feb., but I got too wrapped up in projects to get back to him. And, yes, Brian is the owner.

I am still waiting for the undercarriage pics.If it looks good,i would be willing to pay you to look at it better,as it is too far for me to pick it up.It would be a sight unseen deal, and have it shipped.

This is the ad I have on Craigs list in Fort Worth, Texas

1972 Pontiac Formula 400 / Th400 Automatic with a ton of extras. This is not a Clone but a RARE factory Formula. 1972 was a GM strike year. The Firebird production numbers were low. I have the original th400 transmission and 400 engine and rear-end pulled. The current engine installed is a High Performance 1974 462 CID / TH400 Trans / 3.73 POSI Rear-end built for Xtreeme Excitement. (See Notes Below)
The Car is a Texas car and the body metal is in great condition for 38 years old. The car is un-restored so it needs cosmetic TLC. It has been garaged but still needs care.
She needs seat covers, headliner, the dash is cracked, carpet is original, Fiberglass hood in good shape. Whole car needs painting. It had the vinyl top removed a few years ago and the body guy that primed the top let the paint run down the rear quarters, (long story) so the rear of the card is in primer. I have a set of original Honeycomb wheels that go with the car but not mounted. The mounted wheels are chrome with good but old tires. I have the original a/c components removed. All of the accessory brackets are here but not all installed due to the engine swap. There are misc spare parts with the car(too many to detail) ****As a bonus, I will sell the car with a 18' Steel Deck Dove Tail Car trailer with electric wench and toolbox( needs tires) ***.

Notes:
The current 462 engine installed:
Ø 1974 455 bored/honed to .035

Ø Competition Valve/Seat angles per Jim Hand specs ,
Ø 15-degree valve face cut towards the stem included
Ø Viton positive I/E valve seals
Ø ROL HP Racing head gaskets (.040 crush)
Ø ARP Head Bolts
Ø Ultradyne Solid Flat Tappet Dur243/251 @ 50, Lift .518/.530 @ 1.5 110 LSA
Ø Cloyes full roller timing set
Ø Melling HP 80 psi oil pump w/Oil Filter bypass plugged
Ø K&N Oil Filter
Ø Fuel pump boss blocked

**Original Th400 and Rear-end are part of the deal Both need servicing.**

I am pricing this car with all of the mentioned items at $13K firm. I don’t have to sell but I'm willing to turn the torch over to a new owner that will love this car as much as I do ( at the price listed of course)
I don’t have any current pix but will try to take some this weekend weather permitting. The car does not have tags or inspection so it would need to be trailered.
It can be street driven in it’s current configuration but I personally would rather to street drive it with the 400 engine vs the 462. The 462 MAY get 8 MPG with a light foot. It's a beast!! I used to attend the Muscle Car Challenge Series in the DFW area a few years ago. She will run consistent 12.00s in the qtr and will dip into the 11's if you can hook up. I can’t cut a light very well off the foot brake so I quit dumping money into traveling and fuel costs.
Please No Low Ballers, I know what I have. No Joy riders, I’m crazy not stupid.
Email me with questions. I’m slow to respond sometimes so have patience.

Did you actually go and look at the car ? If so was there anything major wrong ( besides the color change ) that would make you feel that way ? What do you think the car is worth ? Thanks in advance for any input.
