Default Coil Capacitor/Condenser

Just looking for confirmation here (I did a search of previous posts on this subject and think I am right, but not 100%)
I’m dropping in a 1970 455 HO into my 64 GTO in a few weeks. As I was prepping all the accessory components for cleaning/painting I managed to twist off the lead from the capacitor that was mounted on the 70 coil bracket. My first thought was just to replace it with an ignition points set condenser, but it seems to be a slightly different size and wire lead length. Then I remembered I have a condenser mounted on my voltage regulator that probably serves the same purpose, radio static suppression.

I can just go with what I have on the voltage regulator and delete the coil capacitor, right ? I probably should mention I’m also switching from an HEI to points, so I didn’t have a coil before.

You're talking about two different sources that could cause radio static/buzz, thats charging and ignition. Radio capacitor delete on coil (+) may not mess with your cars radio.. But it might knock out your neighbors antenna TV.
