FWIW another PY member sent me a picture of the ‘70-‘71 repop from Inline Tube. It has the 3 locating tabs on the bottom.

This was used till about 2nd week of November 1971 as I have found ( '72 production) .
By then You can start to see some cars with one of each type on them till both sides of the Assy line had PCPO's and all were the thick style nuts.
just more useless info !

Not useless to me! It helped confirm what was correct for my car. Thanks for passing on the results of your research. I was able to find a pair locally for $20.00.
