Wink Back seat 1969 Firebird with mini tubs

Just bought a 69 bird with mini tubs, It has no back seat I was wondering if any one has put a back seat in with the mini tubs installed. I was thinking convert back seat and maybe some custom built side panels. Any thoughts out there?

This has been done many times over very successfully including my own 69 bird. I would suggest you go onto www.LateralG.net and do a search on F-body mini tub rear seat modifications. This is an easy fix/solution. There are multiple photos where to alter the factory seat frame, material, exactly how to do so successfully. You will have no issues with the modifications necessary if you desire to use factory rear seat. I did mine with DSE mini tubs with a fold down rear seat and in a convertible.

Search "Mini Tub Rear Seat Narrowing" on Lateral G.net and that is the thread with all the detailed pictures.

Little late here, but just in case this helps you.

This is how I did mine; I copied this approach.
