Lee,

thanks for trying to help. I understand this thread is so old that it was a long
shot.. I just figured there has to be someone on this board that can point
me in the right direction.

I can understand that this isnt the most common swap .. but I figured someone
on this board has done it before/ knows what needs to be done and it sounds
like Goat has a working example.

Im getting to be an ok wrencher but custom fabbing.. (esp motor mounting)
is something I dont feel comfortable trying.. If I can just see some pics of
a good existing setup then I can probably take it and run with it..

Thanks again

John

you need the frame mounts and pads for a 1970 firebird.

or what I used in my 78 firebird to mount older engine is a set of 2 bolt to 3 bolt mount adapter brackets. that should let you use the chevy clam shell frame pads. you will still probably have to move them since if I remember correctly the pontiac mounts are slightly forward of the chevys and one is a little more forward than the other.

simply bolt everything to the engine with whatever setup you choose set it in place, mark the bolt holes and pull it out to drill.

All modern gms use the same mounting angles at the frame and fan centerline.
