Same here with our 90's & 00's drivers & every GM A-body Ive every owned. On 2nd Gen T/A's of my own, & ones I've worked on for others, I've carefully wrapped a strong leather belt around the center of the new group 24 battery & carefully installed it. Once on the battery tray, I remove the belt from its buckle, tip the battery up slightly on one end & pull the belt out.
