Replacing our G8 GT with a 2020 Charger Scat pack
I was hoping to avoid a car payment for a few more years, but the inability of finding a new Yaw sensor for the G8 has irritated my wife to the point she wants a new car. The Yaw sensor takes out the Stability System, Traction Control, & some times the anti lock brakes.
So it makes her winter driving more difficult. What really brought it to a boil was last week when the anti lock brake message on it also turned on the check engine light, with the check engine light on the remote start won't work. This condition has only occured 2 times in the last 6 months, but the 2nd time was last week when I was away for work we had 8 inch's of snow fall, and she could start the car from inside the house. So she test drove the Scat Pack Charger Monday, and we placed the order today. Anyone want to buy a 98,000 mile G8 GT?

I'm sorry but a 4 door "Charger" is right up there with a 4 door "GTO" and "Grand Prix". There are some things that just shouldn't be.

Those Scat Pack cars are nasty!
I'd make that move in a heartbeat.

Despite my problems with getting Dodge to warranty my defective Charger engine, I agree. That would be one heck of a trade and an upgrade from the G8. My wife still misses hers.

Was it a Hemi that wiped out the cam?

As for Price I am going to ask $12,000 it has 98,000 miles comes with a set of winter tires & wheels, a full size spare, with the Holden Jacking Kit, I also installed the Holden Back up sensor kit last spring. and a few other spare parts. Other than that it is stock, but it is a cloth interior car with no sunroof. Exterior color White, interior Charcoal. No other issue I am aware of.

If I were in a position to buy something new, it would be excruciatingly painful for me to decide between the Scat Pack Shaker and the Scat Pack 1320 Challengers. A 1320 with the shaker would seal the deal!

I have a '19 Scat Pack Charger. I looked at the challengers but I need a useable back seat.

Challenger has a usable back seat - not a small shelf like the Camaro and Mustang.

That is steep, about $200 USD's more than what the US dealers wanted for them. But I may jump on it, Any idea what shipping would be?

No, it was the 6 cylinder. Still wiped like 3 lobes on both cams, dealer had to get their arm twisted to replace them over 6 months of misfires and hiccups and then wouldn't even change the oil in the damn thing (for free as a goodwill gesture or at all for money when I asked them to).

Scat
We have a 2016 Scat Pack challenger and love it. I got it to run 11:80s with a tune, drag radials,FAI, and race bullets. Im actually thinking about selling my Catalina for a Hellcat. Good Luck.

Scat Packs are the coolest thing out there. I hear keep hearing the Barracuda is coming and may replace them. It won’t be the same raw MOPAR with FCA behind it. Enjoy it Jeff

Not a fan of the "Charger" being a 4 door, but I've driven a RT version and I'd own one in a second. Better than it's past as a rebadged Japanese import anyway. But aside from that, anyone else notice that Ford and GM are abandoning the traditional sedan/car platform (citing low demand), while Dodge is turning every vehicle they offer into a drag strip terror?
Somebodys market research is wrong. |
