A/C Bracket Interchange between years
Looking for expert info on the differences in the A/C bracket (cast iron) that bolts on the Passenger side head bosses. I bought a bracket from a member (year unknown) and the center to center bosses on the bracket do not match the E-Head bosses. Help me out here on what fits a E-Head
engine vs a normal Traditional Pontiac head. Thanks Tom Vaught

All I know for sure, is the bracket off my 79 6X TA heads, has been on a 71 455 HO/197 heads, a set of 73 4X, and currently own 68 model 16s. So I'd feel safe saying the bracket fits 68 up anyway.
Will be curious to see what you find out. If it's going to be the bracket or what the E-heads were patterned after. |
