Default "help" best removal product

My door trim was starting to fall off, it was held on by double sided tape. I removed the molding the rest of the way and now i'm left with a sticky mess. What product works best to remove the left behind adhiesive. The sticky gooiey stuff that is left on the door after peeling off the double sided tape.

Thanks, Gregg

Have you tried an eraser wheel yet? Its like a big pencil eraser that you hook to a drill. Works pretty slick. Doesnt damage paint at all.

It’s amazing what vegetable oil will cut through, and it’s something that you most likely already have around the house. Tip for grease penetrated into skin: Rub vegetable oil into dry hands. Next, without any water, work dishwashing soap into hands. Start with just a few drops of water, scrub then keep adding water.

Denatured alcohol is another option to consider. It's great on adhesive residue and other stu.ff. My motto is to use the weakest solvent or cleaner that will still do the job.
