4 Speed Ashtray parts
I have been working on a CAD design for my brother's 69 GP. He doesn't have an ashtray as we converted his GP from an automatic to a 4speed. Another friend of ours had the 4 speed ashtray parts, but the support was broken into 3 pieces and a fourth was missing.
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone else was interested in the support that holds the actual ashtray and lid. Is yours broken? Do you just not have one? If I were to sell them, would you be interested? If so, what would you be willing to pay for one? Also, I do have a design for the lid too. It would be made of PET plastic and not metal. 3D printing metal is very expensive. Would people be interested in a plastic ashtray? The part that actually holds the ashes? I was also toying with trying to make an ashtray from sheet metal. I can design that in CAD as well. Anyway, let me know your interest level. See the video for an animation of the ashtray support and lid in action. This is produced by the CAD tool. https://margozzi.smugmug.com/Guests/Mike/Ashtray/ Mike |

4 Speed Ashtray
I am in the process of restoring a 69 GP and converting from auto to 4 speed in the process. I would be interested in the ashtray setup.

Can you please send me your email address? I am collecting the addresses of folks that might want and ash tray set up. I am assuming you have none of the pieces? Ashtray, lid, and support that holds the other two.

Thanks Bryan. We do strive for top notch design and execution.
All of these parts are going into my brothers car, so I want them to as close to perfect as I can make them. The idea of selling them to others is mostly about helping the other owners. It would be nice to be compensated for my time and effort in developing the parts too. Not looking to start a business here :-) |
