Default Power door lock MOTOR options?

Are there any current options to replace or repair power door lock motors that are frozen up? I don't see these in the Ames book. Not FBC or NPD either. Thanks.

Check firebird central, they have a later year actuator you may make work.

Early cars use a solenoid, not a motor. Since they operate differently, you can't just pop in a motor set up.
To upgrade I like the MES system and have installed them with the dash switch And a unseen Remote opener to keep keys off the paint.

I put power locks in my 1976 and used the later, 77-81 style motors. They were a common motor in the late 70's all the way through the 80's. I am not sure what motors were used before, but I was familiar with the "newer" motors.

This is what I have used many times. I use the second one down the page. This has a key fob remote as well. I also tie my remote trunk lock into this so NO TRUNK keys are used at car show. The motors bolt into holes you make where factory dimples are on 77 and up doors. You can transpose location from newer door to older one.

Default Thx Formula Bruce!

So kit #W01F-712T or W01TW-KEY do you recommend? Can I use the original factory holes that are in my doors already in my 1974? Dave

I use the -key part number. Factory solenoid location is same as newer birds. You may need to modify the actuator rod to the lock.
