Default My attempt @ pics of my 71 Ventura

My first attempt at trying to post a pic. It is suppose to show my 71 Ventura and my yellow 30 Ford A @ the Syracuse Nationals. Ventura came out of a New Jersey junkyard back in the mid 80's. I have owned the car since 87, and redone all the work myself, including rebuilding a 1971 Sbs 307 & 350 tranny. Last summer isntalled a posi rear out of a 78 Trans Am. Car is painted 1973 American Motors Purple with 1974 Chrysler Astec Gold stripes. Also found the Baby moon Pontiac hubcaps @ the Nationals a few years ago.

You have two very nice rides. Isn't the firebird rear a little wider than the Ventura? Is the Sprint stripe painted on or is it a decal?

The Trans Am rear is about 1in. wider, 1/2 in. per side. Running stock GM steel 15in. wheels. Also had to use the old Ventura spring mounting plates on new rear. A few years ago I did lightly and carefully push out each quarter panel for more tire clearance. Used a bottle jack and a couple 2x4's and gained about 1in. on each side. The so called Sprint stripes are painted on. I have a Ventura article with photos I used for the layout. Thanks for the compliment. God Bless. Pastor Mike.

Are those the correct hub caps for this year?

( not saying they aren't, just want to know)

I have no idea if the baby moon Pontiac caps are correct for year. Found them at Syracuse Nationals a few years ago and like the looks. God Bless America and keep on Roddin. Pastor Mike

Might have been easier and better for the car just to get different offset rims
