Y-body wire harness straps??
Well thank you guys again for helping me find some unusual parts. I was looking in the performance years parts catalog and cannot find any of the engine harness straps that hold the harness down To the wheel wells. I was wondering if there was something close from a different manufacturer maybe a Mopar or a Ford? For full size they are available but they are 2 1/2 inches long which is probably an inch more than our cars used.

I just use a plastic zip tie, pull tight & cut off the excess.

Weld up holes was looking like best option. Don’t know why I’m fussy about the little details so much and the car is far from stock not even close ... but I wanted it to look as original as possible.

I've purchased from several sources straps for this purpose without luck, most are too large. The last car that I parted had 3 of what I believe are the original straps pictured. I've used black tie straps, installed from under the fender so you don't see the zip part.

I was thinking at the next car show I can pay close attention to different brands to see if one of them have something close that looks like it would be more original-ish. There must be some brand out there that didn’t have a 2 1/2 inch stretch. I’m think I’m getting a little too overboard on some stuff for a car that isn’t original. those little details sometimes makes you feel like your car looks better too. but just to yourself sometimes . Lol.

Y-body wire harness straps??
If anyone has an OEM example in pristine shape or nos(good luck) I can give it to my son and see if he can reproduce it with his CAD printer. Not the right name of the technology, I know, but you get the idea.

Yea post 5 are to long. Nice how the catalog says they fit tho. Doesn’t these people check their parts before they lost them.
