Default Cameo Ivory with Turquoise Interior '67 GTO owners - Any out there?

Hello everyone. Back in '67 my parents went to the local Pontiac dealership and bought a Cameo Ivory with Turquoise interior GTO with 400 HO and automatic transmission. I have attended GTO/Pontiac shows all over the country, and haven't seen many with this color combo. Any out there?

Hello Axel, I own a 67 GTO with that color combination, 400 HO but with a 4 speed. Trim tag color C-C interior code 220.

Hey axle,
I have a strange past time of collecting Paint and trim codes for 1967 GTO's.
I've got data on about 1000 1967 GTO's.
Of the 1000 or so of what I've collected, 39 of them are Cameo Ivory cars.
Out of 39 of the Cameo Ivory cars, 3 of them had turquoise interiors.
Of the 3, one was a convertible with a black top. The other two were hardtops with "CC" code (no vinyl).

So, since I've got data on perhaps roughly 1 percent of 1967 GTO's made, I'd guesstimate that there were 300 Cameo Ivory cars with turquoise bucket interiors.

Neat.

By the way, the vast majority of Cameo Ivory cars had Black vinyl tops.

Axle,

What happened to your parents GTO?
One of my favorite GTO's is the 67 HO. I have had two and they are Fast! Great cars!

squidtone,

I'm impressed! Data on 1000 67 GTO's. WOW, I thought I was crazy, as I try to keep data on any 64 thru 67 Survivor GTO's. I love reasearching and learning these cars.

Chris

Cool Nice Combo...

I recall seeing a '66 in this combo but can't say I've had the pleasure to see it on a '67.

Did a quick search and found this nice example,
not sure how I feel about the roof but a nice car;

My parents bought their car off of the showroom floor at Bill Page Pontiac in Falls Church, Virginia. It also came with factory a/c . They owned the car for a few years then traded it in for a station wagon (I know) then moved to California. I'll have to post pics when I can find them. On the streets, my dad raced everything ,and was only beat once,by a '67 427 Vette. We have tried and tried and tried to find the car over the past 30 years, but have ben unsuccessful. Coincidentally, my uncle bought a Cameo Ivory with red interior GTO from that same dealership, the year prior, and my other uncle bought a green on green 4 speed GTO from that same dealership the year after. By late '67/early '68 all three brothers were running around northern Virginia/DC/Maryland area in GTO's .

Time is ticking, but would I'd love to find a Cameo Ivory with turquoise interior '67 GTO,and surprise my dad with it!

WOW! Thanks for posting this link. Although there's the minor issue of the vinyl top, the rest of the car is very good. I have contacted them, so we'll see what happens.

A good friend of mine has a '67 GTO hardtop that was originally this combo. When he restored the car, he kept it Cameo Ivory, but installed a Parchment interior. Looked good before the change, looks good now.

Before, with turqoise interior, and after, with parchment......he's had the car since 1977 and it has zero rust.

That's a painted top. Code 'CK'. Good looking car. I'll bet your Dad would love it even with the top. That whole Czech Republic thing would be a little concerning...

Jeff,

Is that Bill's car? I always thought it had green interior.

this cameo over turquoise combo is very interesting, especially in an HO! makes me wonder if there are also starlight over turquoise '67s out there. i have to think that would be a striking combo!

Yes, Chris. Bill's car. Turqoise interior. Not aware of any green interiors available in '67 for a GTO. You are probably thinking of his '69 Skylark, which is white with a green interior....the GS clone.

While slightly different, there was a '66 like that at the Nats in Saratoga Springs...with wheelcovers, no less.
