Default 1964 3spd on the column linkages

I am looking for linkages (possibly transmission as well if necessary) including transmission brackets and frame bracket for a 64 catalina with a HD transmission 3spd "on the tree". I have discovered that both the Borg Warner and the Ford toploader were used in 64 (according to my newly acquired parts catalogue). For either I will need all associated hardware. If you have hardware for a regular duty I may be interested as well.

So if you have acquired a 63-64 3 on the tree that you are parting to use for your 4spd conversion I would happily take the old 3spd stuff off your hands.

Any help in locating these parts would be great as well. I have already contacted Indiana Pontiacs and he has regular duty (my engine is a 303HP 4bbl engine....too strong for such a transmission), but no HD. Steve Barak also no luck. I have located a HD transmission out of a bonne but it was converted to floor shift some time ago and column hardware appears to be gone. Am in negotiations for the transmission but will still need to find the rest. Is the bonne trans longer than the cat?

Thanks in advance.

Try calling Bill Leiser in Weston Mass, 781-893-8235. That is his work #. He has parted a lot of 64's.

Contacted Bill Yesterday. He's going to keep an eye out. Have a couple leads right now but not sure if SD or HD. Hoping for HD but may have to settle for SD for now.

I know that he has a SD set up, because I helped him remove it from a car in South Dakota in 1994!

Go on ebay and do a search under completed auctions for "t85". One was on there within the past three weeks and I'm pretty sure the reserve was not met.

Can't help you on the underbody linkage and if my experience holds true it will take you awhile to find those items; it took me five years to find them for a '61.

Justaguy you are one lucky fellow. Someone from Apache Junction Arizona just put a set of (he says) three speed linkage components on ebay. It all looks different from '61/'62 but then '63/'64 cars were different.

It took me forever to obtain my '61 set of linkages and here you have been looking for what, a week, and bingo it gets listed on ebay.

You will probably need a copy of the '64 chassis manual to see how it all hooks up.
