Now I am worried again..... If your 69 looks like your picture and mine looks like my picture...... they are both different...... I do not have a blower where you do, I have a fender there.....

there must be another way to get the power to the blower than to remove the fender, isn't there?
I am willing to cut the power line to the blower to check it there, and splice it back together!

Nick,

Do you have any pics of the outside of your car.

Specifically the rear marker lights or the passenger windows?

Well Nick,

I don't know what to tell you.

Your car looks like a 69 it's Vin appears to be a 69 but according to the 69 service manual your AC box is too far over to the left.

I see no conforguration for Pontiac, Tempest or Grand Prix that resembles what you have.

I take it you can't see the blower motor anywhere?

I would maybe post a pic of the AC box in the 68/69 section to see if somebody can identify what type of AC Blower system you have.

LOL

Nick,

Yes mine is under the 1/4 panel as well. I have not had mine together since October. I just looked at some old photos and mine is hidden as well.

Your blower motor is inside the 1/4 Feel for the wire and see if you can unplug it.

If not you'll have to remove your 1/4 which isn't that hard.

Nice car by the way

Nick,

I see you have a fluke meter. Do you have the alligator clips as well? If you do you can press the clips with the spikes onto the brown wire that goes into the 1/4 for the blower motor to see if you have power there.

If not you could probably work the tip of your lead through the insulation to see if you have power going to the blower or not.

as I said I can feel it, I just can't get a grip on it to remove it. I am also worrid that if I do get it off, I will never be able to insert it again.
I am leaning toward cutting the wire and checking it that way, I can make sure I cut and repair it so it will be hidden.
Or
I wait until I get the new resistor and replace that and see if that helps.

Do you know if NAPA sells a resistor, I can get it tomorrow?

allright I am back, the alligator clips did not work so i forced my hand in that small space and managed to pull the wire off. I will need to find a small kid to get it back in there......
I checked the plug with the power on and all I could get out of it was .137V - .144V, no more than that. I tried all 3 speeds and still no better......

Well that probably means your blower resistor is shot since you had power up to it but not past it plus you had no resistance between the terminals.

I don't think NAPA does so you will probably have to wait for the one on Ebay

Hopefully it good.

So I went and bougt the part I needed, I Think.....

It is called an A/C Relay, [Hi Blower Relay]
Manufacturer is FOUR SEASONS
Part Number is 35772

From what I can see, it is not a resistor, it is a relay!!!!!

I've heard it called both. Does it look like the one I showed you and have the right configuration for the connector?
