Love this thread and your car.

Unfortunately, it's been awhile since I've tried to catch up on it all and there are just too many posts to read through them all.

Maybe I'm hallucinating, but I thought you were thinking of changing the rear gears. Do you still have the 3.08s back there?

After hearing you mention that crazy 60 foot time that Andy had, recently...it would seem like you've still got possible improvements on your 60' time (I know you've got the lower gear in the trans...). Hope your weather holds good, for a little longer. Supposed to maybe have first freeze, here in central Oklahoma around election day...

Awesome. Keep the faith!

you give me hope for someday running a decent time with my 3.23s. Or maybe I'll swap to 2.73s and just forget the whole overdrive trans thing.

I figured I would add to this thread with an update and a finding. Anyone that has followed this thread will have noticed the ProSystems carb could not 60 foot with the Holley. Not once did it go under 1.6 compared to 1.55s with the Holley.
So one of the golden rules of tuning is check for full throttle..some how this guy missed the memo. So my carb did have full throttle..but it was taking approximately 2 seconds to achieve it...due to the secondary accelerator pump arm hanging up on the rear pump cam. I discovered this a few nights ago when I was investigating why my pedal felt so stiff and has felt stiff.
This must explain why the car picked up time dropping the shooter size way down because the car was only leaving with maybe 700cfm available upon the hit..but never went under a 1.6 time.
