Last time it snowed in coastal San Diego was in the early 1950s. But we do get snow several times a year in our local mountains 35 miles to the east. Nothing to brag about though.
Ski in the morning, surf in the afternoon.

Yes, rain or snow is needed badly. Cameron Peak fire is horrendous...the size of it is staggering.

That's one thing about this snowfall - while we haven't experienced anything like what the western states have been going through, it has been very dry in MN the last couple months. All this snow slowly melting into the ground was just what we needed to help make up for the rain deficit.

You and me both!

We got our first bit of it this past friday evening, and in the last couple days it's gotten a bit worse...
I'm holding out hope that it will warm up and all melt by next week.

There's not too many places in this country I live that one can avoid seeing snow... so consider yourself lucky

Don

I'm glad Florida is awesome for you.

It sucks as far as I'm concerned. Even in the winter, Florida is usually too humid for me. Summers would be unbearable.

But then, I'm looking forward to getting enough snow so that I can go skiing.

Heck, I even enjoy blowing snow.
