Default wheel stud question

I have put aftermarket disc brakes on the front of my 62 bonneville, the original drum brake wheels studs are 1/2" diameter and the new discs have 7/16" studs, the original wheels have stud holes to suit the original 1/2" studs so am I going to have an issue with putting the original wheels on the discs with the smaller 7/16" studs and lug nuts or will I have to sort out a custom wheel the pattern is the original 5x5.

Thanks

Could you have the discs reamed by a machinist to fit 1/2 inch studs?

Yes he could. Or he could buy 7/16" lug nuts that use the larger 13/16" socket.
