Angry Stolen 1978 Grand Am Black/Black

Let my son take it to the local (Newnan) movie theater last nite, parked it 4 spaces from the front door. Pretty sad. -Jim

Dang Jim that SUCKS! I hope you can get it back. Kind of hard to hide that car.
I just put full coverage on my 79, hope I don't need it.

Thanks. Unfortunately I only had liabilty on it. Usually I am the only one driving it and it stays in a locked garage. I have tons of work in this car, everything inside is like new. Headliner, dash, door panels, package tray, carpet, seats, etc. Really a sad day around here. -Jim

One more thing. I talked with the sheriff, he said there were 2 other Pontiacs stolen in douglas county(about 20 miles away) the same night. One was an orange GTO. Really makes me wonder what is going on. Sounds like it may be connected/organized? Thieves should be caught and forced to work!! -Jim

Jim,

Not to worry. I have a Grand Am sitting on the lot (it's WHITE) and it attracts a bit of attention. If they (your thieves) come through here selling, we'll get 'em!

Before you shoot them find out where my car is!! You know, they use to hang horse thieves, aren't cars modern day horses? These thieves should have to fix whatever they break and then work off their fine at 1.00 per day. -Jim

I really feel for you Jim, you put so much work in the car.
Like others have said, it will be easy to spot that Grand Am from any angle. Hopefully, it will be just the wheels they were after, or something minor. As long as it isn't totally dismantled, I think it will turn up.

Run a search on craigslist in your area every day, and we can watch eBay for suspect parts coming out of the wood work.

That's a beauty. Know a body shop manager that has one he ordered from Pontiac.
Been try'n to get it from him for 5 plus yrs now.
Hangings to good.
They should be dragged behind a car till dead.
Good luck.

Sorry to hear. Sweet ride it is. They are too easy to steal. I had an '84 Regal stolen years ago & it was found a week later Idling in a parking lot with a blown column, missing CD player, and damaged window track.

Hopefully your's is in the same condition. Good luck.

I doubt it'll make it this far north but I'll keep an eye out for it.

Yes, 275/60/15 Firestone Indy tires on rear, 225/70/15 on front. The fronts are a little large but I already had them left over from another project. -Jim

They shoot horse theives, in my book stealing a car is much the same. I have a lot of memories of my son working with me on the car, it is sad for both of us. Thanks for keeping an eye out. -Jim
