Default Rear springs

I installed a set of vert springs in my 66 as recommended by our former host I wanted to get about an inch of height without adding any extras. I did not get the results I was looking for and was wondering if big car rear springs would work or do I just bite the bullet and have them made. Any suggestions.

Default Wagon springs.

I wanted to ask have you considered wagon springs? On '68-'72 models, they have a tendency to sag.

Went through this with my 69 GTO & got spacers from Summit for under $50 as I recall. I'm pretty sure they were 1 1/2" & went between rear diff & bottom of spring. Insulator went between spring & body on top, nothing between spring & diff. I have many miles & burnouts since with no issues.

A '66 rear spring simply bolts down to the spring pad on the rear axle. No lower insulator is used, unlike the '67 -'72 cars.

You can either buy or make some spacers in the desired thickness and buy longer bolts. It's very easy to keep your current springs and adjust your rear ride height to exactly where you want it using a flat steel or aluminum spacer with a 1/2" hole drilled through it.

I put wagon springs on my '65 and the ride height is perfect.
