It does have all the WW5 content , so I ran the option cost numbers , and it actually came out to be cheaper individually - at the time this car was built / as built.
very unusual

Total for all the options = $991.92
Cost for early WW5 Automatic = $1012.13
An extremely savvy buyer saved $20.21 on this order.
About $200+ in today money

Custom Carpets are covered under Lemans Hdtp base group
Drip Rail moldings would be covered within Vinyl Top option, if not already inclusive with Lemans or GTO
- unless someone can come up with something i am overlooking ?

Possibly the only thing they lacked otherwise was the H/O decal on Trunklid

I have a few other projects I would like to finish. I would take 19000 for everything. I'm loosing money at this price but it's a couple years from me being able to go at it aggressively. That's a bottom dollar price.

I'm not hands-on familiar with 72 Framingham procedures,
but sometimes - at some factories - they stamped the VIN higher up on the Block.
Up in the area closer to where the passenger side Head meets the Block. fwiw
The area circled in YELLOW in this picture.

Silver Car with Silver Honeycombs will make a sharp looking GTO.

Chief - this is what BVZ was eluding to. Many times cars from the Fremont plant had the partial VIN stamped up high on the block. My '71 HO came out of Fremont last week in December 1970 (12E). It has the high stamp:

Atlanta plant did them in that zone i circled with Yellow in 70 & 71 , possibly beyond then too.
Sort of like Fremont.

No idea what Framingham was doing in 72 - so its worth checking out.

You are correct. I found the vin up high and it's the original engine. Thank you for that information

Here's a picture of a 1971 455HO block out of the Fremont plant showing where they stamped the VIN. This block is dated September 2, 1970.

You are certainly welcome.
Glad to hear the good news.

It's going to make someone a great car and it's a solid investment with all those options and #'s matching drivetrain.

I have been following this thread and like the work you have done so far on the car. It will be a very cool car finished. Could you indulge my curiosity? What were the factory interior and exterior colors on this car? Thanks and good luck with the sale. 71-72 455 HO, one of my favorite models.
