really need the backrest portion but will take both.

Perhaps a used seat cover also.

He’s located in So Cal so not likely to be somewhere on your route to Norwalk.

I guess depending on which internet browser you’re using determines whether or not you can see his location.

That’s why I recommend everyone put their location somewhere in the text of their post.

I've had this one in my basement for 40+ years but we're about 2000 miles apart.

I know where he is. It's not unheard of to see people from CA at Norwalk.

Default Rear seat listed on team chevelle

A '65 H.T. rear seat was listed on Team Chevelle a week or so ago. Red vinyl, stated as Pontiac in origin. Texas location. I don't know the Guy. $400.

To whomever bought Old Goat Racer's seat back, why don't you post your own wanted ad for god sakes. I had been searching for this '65 black seat back for the last 2-3 years. This is not my first wanted ad post on the topic.

It is sad to see someone bought it out from under me, from my own "wanted ad" post I had created for it.

Unscrupulous people sniping other peoples wanted ads!

That sucks big time.

Moderators should make this thread a sticky and reveal the name of the member here who contacted Old Goat Racer buying his original seatback he had posted here in response to my ad.

Drain the swamp is the appropriate metaphor!

We as moderators have absolutely no idea who’s messaging who here, we don’t have any access whatsoever to any member’s private messages nor should we.

All the more reason to not post in classified threads to offer parts to the person who placed the want ad, always send a private message to prevent snipers who haven’t placed their own want ad.

Private messages - the smart and above board way of answering ads in the classifieds.

Thanks fellas, I need an original one to match my original car. The rest of my original interior is in great shape but the sun completely destroyed the top of the back seat cover.

Original covers are very hard to find so I was sure I needed to buy it from wherever I could find one. Old Goats seemed to be exactly what I had been searching for.

If I olace any future ads, I’ll ask people to respond only. via PM.

20 years on this board and this was just very disappointing to see happen after a long time looking.for something.

The part has not changed hands yet so maybe there's a chance the buyer who made the deposit (or seller) will come forward to offer to undo the deal??? If so ,contact me via PM and I will keep you anonymous.

Deposit has been refunded. I'm keeping the seat in case I ever need it for my '65 GTO. SORRY FOR ALL THE CONFUSION !
