I beilieve the 1973 Trans Am is the best looking Trans Am built.
I look at all side of public perception, collectaiblity, resale value since i will not own the car forever. I have owned both White and Red 73/74 Trans Ams and hands down the red car gets way more attention then a white. Regardless of Interior color. All conditions being the same I would would take #2 Based on all research, experiance and preference. Brad

I could add the things like that (old nose bird is a little tricky losing). But, I can't subtract the A/C as easily.

I really don't care for A/C. It gets hot here in the summer, but not to the point where it's ever been a necessity. I prefer heat only setups.

A/C is for humidity, the added cooling characteristics is a bonus and often marketed as the purpose. Hot and dry areas aren't so bad for cruising with windows down.

I like red exterior over white, but I don't want a/c on any muscle/classic car I own. The difference in the deluxe interior over the standard interiors for those years is a big plus to me, and the oxblood is hard to beat in deluxe so I'd pick car #1

I think VA/NC and South and A/C becomes more of a necessity in the summer.

So what did I spend most of my time driving? A 1973 Formula 400 auto with a/c and a 75 Formula 400 auto with a/c. My wife and I both drove 20 miles one way to work, and neither of us could go in with our clothes soaking wet. We took the other cars out in spring, summer and fall (it rarely snows here), but from about June until October, A/C was mandatory. |

The red car.
But I’d prefer deluxe/honeycombs/hood bird/and a four speed. I’m more curious, would a person take a base auto 74 SD455 in white over a loaded 73 Red or Green four speed D port 455? Last edited by AkCamaro; 01-09-2021 at 11:09 PM. |

It would have to be #1 for me!
I already have a ride that I need to bring a towel with me in the summer. 67 Vette 427 with side pipes. I have no problem with the colors on # 1 either. |
