Default Wtb 8.5 inch posi carrier and gear set.

Looking for a reasonably priced posi carrier and gear set for an 8.5 inch ten bolt. I'd take any gear set from 3.08 to 3.42

I have an 8.5" 3.42 posi dated June 1978.

1967 Firechicken, 499", Edl heads, 262/266@0.050" duration and 0.627"/0.643 lift SR cam, 3.90 gear, 28" tire, 3550#. 10.01@134.3 mph with a 1.45 60'. Still WAY under the rollbar rule.

Didnt they use a smaller axle on some 8.5?
i.e. 28 spline

Ive been collecting 8.5s for S10 Blazers and trucks
the early ones were 28 spline
