Hey.
I am new to the board, first post.
I have a green '68 GTO that was featured in Carcraft Dec., 15 proven dyno combos.
My car in the body shop for a full resto.
I have the drive train out and looking to make a little better power. My combo:
15,000 miles on...
WT400 .030 over trw 2262L's, stock balanced rotating assembly,stock unported #16's/1:52 rockers,Comp's 292H 244@.050 .501 lift single pattern cam,RPM intake/Qjet,recurved HEI distributor, 1-3/4 headers 2-1/2 exhaust/x pipe,Rodney red rad,3:55 gear/M20 4spd.
Looking to port and polish the heads and go with 1:65 rocker,Rhoads lifter..same cam.
What do think? anybody else running this combo?

Hi,
Welcome to the forum. I can't answer your question about more power, but I have a stock base engine '68 GTO almost identical to yours. Mine is a survivor that you can see at the customer's ride part of the PY website. It is near the bottom of the list and identified as: 68 GTO (third from the bottom) or: http://performanceyears.com/crides/cride104.html

Hi,
If you go to www.carcraft.com
then go to events, click on the 15 proven dyno combos. You can see the before pictures there.
I'm making a cd of the restoration process too.
Also my car is 1968 lots in the Ulitmate GTO site.
Thanks
Guy
