Default 66 Ventura 421 4 speed

Over the weekend, I got to look at a 66 Ventura 421, 4 Barrel, 4 speed. The car looks like it was used at a salt mine! It is not, in my eyes, restorable. But the owner would like to sell it. He wants $2500. The car is complete, it is a 2 door, bench seat car. Anyone interested, because I don't have room to even strip it. It is located in Evansville, WI. It has been sitting for quite a long time. I don't know if the engine turns over. I can get his phone number if anyone wants this car.

Since nobody wants a whole car, if I buy the car and disassemble it, anyone interested in the drive train. This car can't just go to the crusher with a 421 and 4 speed!

If you could verify it's a four bolt and that it will at least turn over I would be interested, mainly the engine. Price would need to be reasonable since a lot of unknowns.

I don't know what happened to this post? Was it removed by the moderator? Anyhow, this car is still for sale for $2500. Would I get more for the parts than a whole car? I am just trying to help a friend get it out of his garage. I have given the phone number out a few times, but no one has called yet. What do you guys think?

I got the phone # from and would love to see the car but I am quarantined at home till next week and don't know what will happen after that so calling at this time will be futile. If I can travel next week I will cal.

Thanks for the help. Bill.

The diff should be 3.42 but may not be a posi. I would be interested in the whole drivetrain including all the 4 speed conversion parts and steering column and the dash but have no way of getting there until travel restrictions are lifted. If someone else has claimed the 421 then I would like the rest of the drivetrain.

Thanks, Bill.

It was moved to the "big cars for sale" section where you should have put it in the first place. This is the "61-66 big Pontiac tech" section.

I looked there and it wasn't. And yes it should have been put there in the first place. I had a brain dart when I put it in the tech section. Thanks for the info.
