For tires, rad hoses, plug wires, virtually nothing beats Go-Jo creme based hand cleaner. No fake shine, just looks exactly like you think it should.

The Turtle Wax products are not the semi-permanent type Ceramic Coating.
On the high end Ceramics products, the key is surface preparation.
It's a whole Lotta work "perfecting" existing auto paint for the Ceramic or Graphene coating.
That's why detail shops get so much money for applying the coating.
"Graphene is an allotrope of carbon consisting of a single layer of atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice nanostructure. The name is derived from "graphite" and the suffix -ene, reflecting the fact that the graphite allotrope of carbon contains numerous double bonds."
I figured Napoleon WOULD BE - ON IT.

The problem nowadays with just cleaning your tires and using nothing on them is that they turn brown. Just like those brown RWLs that everyone is complaining about.

Not a fan of ceramic- haven’t found one that lasts much longer than good wax or sealants. Plus it doesn’t hide scratches like wax can.

I just did both of my cars in the Turtle wax Ice. They look absolutely beautiful. Easy on and off too.
I was hesitant at first.
25 years of polishing my cars.

303 for everything vinyl.

Still searching for a good tire product. I don't want them too wet or too dry either. Just a solid long lasting black is all I want.

Try the Ice guys...it really is great.

I was a No Touch tire foam user for years, but I've recently tried Mequiars Hot Shine (I use a LOT of other Meguiar's products, from buffing pads to compound to leather wipes to quick detailer.) I didn't like the hot shine; it smells horrible, has a crappy spray pattern, and leaves a wet, shiny look that seemed blotchy.

Next I tried Armor All Extreme Tire Shine (not to be confused with Armor All Tire Foam, which looks almost identical ither than the wording on the can). I like this one a lot; no bad smell, great spray pattern and coverage, and leaves a clean black look that's more satin finish than gloss. It's my new go-to. You'll want the tires clean before you use Extreme Shine, though - it doesn't foam up and run off, carrying dirt with it. I use Adams Tire and Rubber cleaner (and Adams Wheel Cleaner) before I spray the Armor All.

I bought a bottle of the ICE, but the only place I've used it yet is my glass shower walls after I buffed them to gloss with Meguiar's compound.

Still planning to try it on one of the cars.

Interesting! It looks like that causes the water to sheet off, which is what I've been looking for. The beading action of ceramics is great if you can blow the car dry immediately after - otherwise you just get water spots in perfect circles all over your car. I've tried Cascade and Jet Dri final rinse in my filtered rinse water, but those apparently work better in the dishwasher than they do on the car.

I'll give that a shot.

I don't get water spots.
Clay bar-compound-polish then sealant. If car is in need.
Do the baggy test, put your hand in a cheap light weight sandwich baggy,or plastic food wrap and using your finger tips lightly run your fingers over the body surface. If you feel specs of dirt you need to clay bar.Should be glass smooth.
But I don't live in Arifornia, did 2yrs. in Kingman in the 80's and the water was sooooo bad.lol
BTW; most tire shines are dirt magnets. As well as conventional waxes. The new coatings won't attract dirt and dust and the water sheeting properties are unreal.

As far as long lasting tire treatment try this.

Try the 303 on tires as well.
Reading product details and saw, "Mist on a dry or wet, clean car, buff, then rinse off product to reveal a streak-free shine."
So, rinse after buffing? Water just runs off? I'm having a hard time getting my head wrapped around the idea of rinsing my car off and calling it finished. Don't you have to squeegee it or buff it after rinsing?

Most people use a leaf blower to get water off.
Also my preferred way of using the product is to spray on dry vehicle wipe off, flip micro fiber towel and wipe again.
If you are applying as a wet rinse, you still have to dry off the vehicle.

I've switched to clay mitts instead of bars, but otherwise I do the same.
I typically rinse with RODI water, so my car wash procedure leaves no spots even without drying, but the ceramic cars look HORRIBLE after a monsoon storm; spots everywhere. That's where I'm looking for the sheeting action and it looks like your turtle wax recommendation may provide that. Certainly worth a try!

Being using Adam's detailing spray for light cleaning, Don't wash the car so this pretty much get used all the time.
Had used Griot's Garage products and Adam's seems to be a little more user friendly. ( Less streaking). Have been using Griot's Garage best of show
wax ( Very Hard to use) but now switch to Adams Buttery wax ( easy on Easy off) . Review coming later.

Funny you mention "hide scratches".
There was some special waxes we had at the Pontiac dealership in the later 70's and after I left I am sure that were in some basic colors. I do Not remember if they were a GM related product .This was HUGE for the Lacquer paint, and worked best on Black and white colors ( Non Poly). Lacquer can get tiny imperfections even early on, and the colored wax really hid a lot, and I used a hard Turtle wax( Carnuba that was very hard) over it. I Never tried the red, but did use the brown, the black and the white a few times.
We had a Black '78 SE T/A in the showroom I did, and a '78 Corvette pace car another tech did without any carnuba , or color, just a liquid cheap silicon coating. I was some proud of that T/A shine, could see it out on the road easily.

After owning my 65 for 31 yrs and trying most everything, this what I use and have no reason to change anything.

303 for tires…
It leaves a satin sheen and has the best UV protection

Lemon Pledge furniture polish for vinyl…
Leaves the same type satin sheen and doesn’t attract anything. It can be a little slippery at first.

Liquid Glass Polish…
I never use wax!
Even tho I live in Florida, my car is garage kept so I’m not concerned about UV protection

Maguires Final Finish #24 for detailing the paint.
My car hasn’t had soap on it in over 30yrs.
It takes off spots if you get caught in the rain, dust, pollution etc.

Ceramic coat is "like another layer of Clear Coat on your clear coat". So i wonder if that is true, and do they bond chemically into an inseparable coating.

Having my 96 Towncar (original paint) ceramic coated now. Hoping to keep the factory clear coat from ghosting (then peeling) like most all of them did.

Definitely use a clay bar! I like Clay Magic bars the best. As far as polish, I still love Liquid Glass. It’s horrifyingly expensive but it works. I used to sell BFG AgeMaster to Ronnie Milsap’s bus driver when I was working in Nashville. It is a UV screen for the rubber deice boots on aircraft. Even in the late 1990s is was around $75 a quart, but it works.

Used to be a fan of Liquid Glass.
That was 20 yrs. ago.
The Ceramic products put it to shame.
Go to Walmart for $8.88 get a bottle of Turtle Wax Minute wax.
It has Carnauba Wax and Ceramic, the shine and slickness are unmatched by any other product I've used.
It's easy to apply to a clean surface, just spray and wipe back and forth - flip micro fiber towel and quickly buff.
Unbelievable. Try it fellows
