Question for you if you may indulge. Do you know if the 4” filter version will handle 100psi? I’m going to buy one too so if you don’t find one here hit me up if you want to do a group buy. Not sure if they give any kind of discount but it may be worth checking.

Yes it will handle 100psi easy. When I bought mine he told me all about them. Super nice guy. I went with the black 4” version with the screw on disposable filter. I’m using -12 ptfe lines which was a very tight fit.

They have a screen under the see through window that you can look for tattle tale solids lodged on the screen. Oil goes first through the screen, then into the full flow filter.

Oberg has the same type of screen to give you an indication of engine health according to what is caught in the screen. The difference is you must disassemble the Oberg to look at the screen, and Oberg is a separate unit inline, the plumbing before a remote filter setup. The Clearview is supposed to be able to be viewed with the engine shut off, no disassembly required, and it can be contained in one unit, not 2 separate units.

They're pretty proud of that billet piece, right around $500 for the basic unit, up to over $700, too rich for my blood.....LOL

I had been running just a stock filter housing (plugged)
But I wanted to add a remote filter and an Moroso accumulator this go thru so it’s definitely pricey but compared to what the motor costs that the oil Flows out of and back into its just Another drop In the bucket and if it saves the crank or ? It’s more than paid For itself
That being said (knocks wood) I haven’t had any bearing issues in a long time. Other issues Yup!

MM, I understand it's a insurance investment, but you do have much higher dollar engines than I've ever had, or ever will.

A friend of mine that raced super late model dirt track car, he had a Joe Gaerte engine that was in the neighborhood of $30,000, he protected it with an Oberg. Previously he had built his own engines.

It did help him catch a roller lifter that was shedding roller needles. It definitely saved that engine. One of the things Gaerte insisted on, was an Oberg filter for just that reason, to catch a minor problem before it became a major problem. That was my first exposure to one of those tattle tale type filters.

Clearview has refined the Oberg type to be able to just look inside, rather than having to disassemble it. It's a good idea, just pricey.

Accusump style accumulator is another great piece for engine longevity.
