Default Clutch problems

Resurfaced flywheel new clutch kit, any ideas what happened only had a couple hudred miles on it. stock 400, m20, 3.36 rear.
could the flywheel cracks been just under the surface after resurfacing?
I cleaned all components with brake cleaner used rubber gloves and no leaks on engine or trans.
Thanks Woody.

Flywheel runout is .003 on engine but pressure plate was .0015 bolted in place before I took it all all apart. Why could pp run out so bad?

I'm surprised you only have .0015" runout on a clutch pp. What's the problem?

Worried about the cracks? I would too, replace the flywheel. Surfacing can't fix that. Why did you take it apart?

Heat/stress cause the cracks. Resurfaced means you ran it previously? Will it hurt anything? Depends on how deep the cracks are and how you use it. Wing it up to 5000 rpm and dump the clutch and you might want to check the quality of your bell housing. Replacing the flywheel is probably better than having you feet repaired.
PRW 1645570. About $250.

PRW 1645570 flywheel

Amazon sells it for $217 IF you are a "PRIME" member

Butler sells it for $240

I got mine from Butler. It was a "little tight" fit on the hub circle (large diameter). To "machine" the circle out, I made up a "tool" out of a large pill bottle, a nut and bolt and some 400 grit sandpaper. Place the flywheel on a large flat surface. Put tool in a hand-held drill and spin it. (see pics below) Do it a little bit at a time.

My PRW 1645570 flywheel teeth had a maximum run-out of 0.003".

P.S. The pill bottle's base diameter is almost exactly the same as the center register hole.

I looked back. Mine came off of Amazon @ $236.90 including shipping. No issues on fitment.....other than bench pressing it into place by myself. Not to easy for a guy that's had the distal bicep tendon torn off of both elbows.....

Oh sorry my questions are
Does the parts look contaminated?
Why would pp have so much run out when fw has only .003?
reuse new pp and disc with a new fw.

.0015" is half of .003". I dont think anyone could feel .0015" runout. I think the disc need to be checked further..
