Default Upper rad hose

I have a 66 sprint lemans, and have had issues with the upper radiator hose connection to the radiator. It breaks the solder at the inlet. I have replaced the mounts and tried a few types of hose with out much luck. Has anyone else seen this?

The radiator is correct, the hose has been replaced with a few styles/types, the problem is that the motor tends to move more than I think it should, when under load, it is a stick which makes it worse. I have tried another pair of mounts,(Used). Does anyone make new mounts for these?

2X check the mounts.
They should not allow the motor to move around.
Back in the 70's GM had trouble with motor mounts that came loose between the
Metal and the bonding with the rubber.

only bad mounts Ive seen were the result of being oil soaked

ditto on the mounts

MT and AT used different ones in the A body

I too may have some NOS ones

I repro the Firebird ones but they arent the same

Gary,
Whats the diff Auto Vs MT on A-Body mounts?
I have swaped mounts on both using the only A-Body mount I've ever seen offered for both. All listings I've seen never mentioned a diff Pt# or such.
Thanks.

I was always under the impression that the durometer of rubber was higher with manual trans vs auto.In a pinch any will work.

They have been soaking for many years, I used the best ones I had when it was overhauled but I know they are cracked and mushy. Just have some polishing and buffing and and some body assy work to do before its ready for the road. About what would a set of new OEMs run?

Exclamation MT Vs AT A-Body mounts...

Garys post got me thinking ( oh no ) and I do indeed have part numbers listed for AT Vs MT mounts.
I would agree it might be a stiffer mount used on the MT cars but have never seen them side by side so can't offer anything to that.

Here are the numbers I have on file...
9788004 GM 66’-69’ AT, A-BODY
9788005 GM 66’-69’ MT, A-BODY
9785555 GM
9788005 WHITE/ 9788616 BLUE.

I do not know what the WHITE and/or BLUE reference is about?
Anyone here know?

I will say however I have been using the same mounts on both auto & manual A-Body models with no problems.

As far as a I know you will only find one offering besides NOS and they are Jerry's re-poped mounts. They ran about $150(+-) a few years back

This first two pics show the A-Body mount and the last two are F-Body,
