Default Sprint Suspensions

I met a Cammer that has a heavily optioned 69FB Conv Sprint like mine. On the list of options he has a "Suspension Package" but I do not have the actual name in front of me.

When ordering the Sprint option did you have to order the suspension package separately? I ask this because mine is an early build and his is later.

you could order HD suspension separately Y -96 ride and handling package
If memory serves me right it was less than $10 extra
The Sprint has upgraded suspension already but didnt include this

My 67 Sprint Convertible has the "Ride and Handling" package that you described. Gary, Do you know what was different than the std. Sprint suspension? (heavier springs?, different bushings? Koni shocks?) I have often wondered what it was.

Y96 is correct on the Options list for "Springs and Shocks". I'll have to contact Tom and ask him what the cost was on the list he showed me. BTW - he has a HEAVILY optioned Sprint. Total car cost was $4.200 and some change

I think that was the cost of my nearly fully loaded '67 Thunderbird! That is a ton of cash for an F-body.

Default 1969 Sprint ride and handling pkg.

No leather interior.....it's actually the Parchment knit/vinyl or custom code 17 interior. What Marc is referring to, is the Code 621 Ride and Handling package-(springs and shocks) T-A or Y96 UPC for a whopping retail price of $9.48. In addition, this car also has the Code 361 UPC G80 Safe-T-Track Rear Axle-HD which is a posi 3:55 to 1 axle which cost all of $63.19. This is the same Axle code, springs, and gear as my 1969 Trans Am. This car has 22 factory options and had a retail price of $4,278.63 interestingly, as the 69 TA which has only 3 options, actually cost $110.00 less, with a retail price of $4,167.68.
I was going to attach the PHS, however I have been having trouble with attachments lately.....not sure what the problem is. I really enjoyed getting PMD1969's car and mine together, as they are very much alike and we had a great time sharing information. Unfortunately, I didn't have the PHS docs with me when we met. I look forward to our next meeting. It was like looking at his car and mine in the mirror!

Tom
