Default Windshield washer pump

I just installed a new washer pump and its not working, any ideas on where to start first?

Do the wipers work? Check the fuse.

Is the pump running and not spraying? Line could be blocked.
Are you getting power to the pump? If not it could be your switch.

the pump has power to it but won't work when I push the washer button. I checked the power to it with a test light and it has power to both wires and the wiper motor does work. I did get the pump to work by pushing the actuator under the cover.
