Finally got my 69 Sprint all worked out. Redid the engine this year (first time I do a OHC) and seems to run great. 4speed (saginaw) and a 3.23 SafeTtrack, (originally a 3.55 open).

Finally got the sound system functioning properly (became very expensive undertaking!!, i think the engine was cheaper), 8 track and stereo radio with 4 factory speakers and power antenna.

It has lots of decor options too but manual steering, brakes and top though. I think of it as my British Pontiac even though it was from San Diego ;-)

Hello,
Been a while since I've posted....sold my 71 Firebird a few years ago.
Yesterday I picked up a 1969 Firebird project.....its in pieces at teh moment, but this is what it looked like when my friend bought it ten years ago in California.

pontiacs at my place 4 by Leigh Peddell, on Flickr

One owner car with almost no rust and no accident damage.
Time for me to get this car back on the road.

have always loved that style wheel, if only they made a brushed alum version in a modern rim size!

Default My 68 Bird

The rims are Weld Wheel Drag Stars. Don’t know if they make brushed alum version or bigger diameter

Interesting placement of the Firebird emblem on the quarter. Is it a functional light like in '69?

No,, They are front fender emblems. Car has a 400 hood...a Chevy straight 6 under the hood...with a V8 vin number ...and a 40+ year old repaint. Guy I got it from said his dad installed the Chevy 6 during the 70's gas crisis. Car had been their family since 1972

PHS is on the way!

No.

It doesn't have the chrome grille trim or the arrowhead on the front bumper. Trunk lid has never had a 400 emblem either. Probably a 326 car.
