HI.I bought a 70 GTO with a 455 code WA and 4 speed from the first owner .It has a olds 12 bolt not a chevy.The date code on the rear is for a 70.Is it possible to have one with a olds 12 bolt or has it been reblaced?Thanks.Bryan

It's been replaced if it's an Olds 12-bolt. Are you sure it's an Olds? Pull the inspection cover off. The ring gear should have just 10-bolts if it is an Olds.

It should be a Pontiac 12 bolt if it is original. Try to find the code on the rear end also. All A body Pontiacs came with a 12 bolt Pontiac, if it originally had a 455. Don't know after '72.
