Does anybody have a "Y" code GTO (2D237Y)? wondering about body decals and code used for hood tach. I have the PHS buildsheet. Also is the rear wing code# 421? Would appreciate any help, I'm still learning. Hope to pick the car up early next week.

I have a 72 Pontiac accesories catalouge that lists the hood tach as a dealer installed option only, not available from the factory in 72. Hope this helps.

Code 421 means that it came with a remote rear deck release button in the glove box.

The body -GTO- decals for an -L75 455 4BBL would be GTO with 455 C.I.D. underneath GTO. UPC code -421 is for deck-lid release(power trunk). A rear spoiler and hood tach were -NEVER- factory installed. They were listed as dealer installed options, but very few people added them.
