Default PHS.... Is it a good idea/worth it?

So since I have joined this "group" I have become rejuvenated about my car.

Never talked to so many people whose interest didn't evaporate the moment the found it wasn't a GTO. (No offense to GTO owners )

Had the car for over 2 decades and often thought about doing the PHS thing and wondered if any of you have done it and what you thought.

Thanks in advance!

In another thread I think you said you had the buildsheet?
If so, no real reason to get the PHS. They are worth it to ID for sure what you have otherwise.

Can you post the buildsheet if you do have it?

I’d do it while he still does them.

Jim, on your '72 LeMans GT, even though not on the broadcast sheet, your car has all the options of a WW4 car. The WW4 option included 400 4spd, PS, disc brake, carpet (additional on a 2D27), & the Y99 package. There were only 125 built between '72 2D27 & 2D37 models, both LeMans & GTO optioned cars.

Second Burds recommendation, I'd order the PHS invoice copy.

Thanks guys.

I love the fact that it's a 4 speed bench seat car from the factory and I can prove it.

It will ALWAYS be Sundance orange!!!😎👍

Thumbs up

Get the PHS and as already stated above, before you can’t get one anymore.

I got one for my ‘64 Le Mans convertible and a lot of members here helped me figure out some of the things that weren’t clear and we all had a lot of fun.

I would also order the PHS while one can still read the microfiche.
I went one further and got the reproduction window sticker from Michael Noun (member MikeNoun), after the PHS.

I had Mike Noun make up a reproduction window sticker as well.

Excellent work and reasonably priced.

Order PHS. Ordered mine and am original owner of a special ordered 71, T-37. Have original window sticker.
Ordered it anyhow. Some info I did not have or knew. Cheap investment.

It is an invaluable resource that every Pontiac owner should order. While their window sticker sucks (Michael Noun does the best job), this information really is a privilege for Pontiac owners. Imagine how many fake special editions would be out there if there was no PHS to highlight if they were genuine or not? I agree with others, microfilm will not last forever, so it's important that the information is preserved. It is a shame they are not working to compile all the data so we could have year by year breakdowns for colour, options, models, we'd have the most accurate and in-depth production figures of any 60's-70's USDM cars.

I did it when it was around 25$. It came in a nice Pontiac envelope, and you’d get a whole packet, not sure if he still does that. One nice thing you can call, and mattison will chat with you on the phone.
He used to ship them from the Pontiac HQ

I took my phs to the dealer where my ta was from, they went over it with me, actually they got a kick out of it.
