Early/ Late 72 firebirds
Does anyone have a vin earlier than 521xxx or 12B, with belt minder, black rear view mirror, or Amber front turn signal lenses?

Sorry, mine is a 523,XXX, but has the seat belt minder. I can't say which lamp housing or mirror it was born with, but it has the amber and black mirror now.
Is it generally agreed that 522,XXX is the above configuration? My 523,XXX is 1st week of Jan, so I guess you are trying to center in on mid December?

FWIW,...my '72 is a 511xxx, so as you'd expect, all the early features, early belts, etc. 10D build.

There was 3 types of park/ turn lights used in Nov- Dec of 1971. 1st was 69-71 and early 72 style. Second was a CLEAR plastic capsule/ 1157A bulb and the breakable lower valence. Third set up was the same lower valence with the AMBER Capsule , And used a std 1157 bulb.
One way to tell this on a car of this vintage is the front lighting harness is Different. The Bulbs go into the harness, Not the housing as earlier models. Have seen many cut and made to fit earlier housings. I think one of my cars is a 11a, will look in next day or two.
