If it's legit it's a great deal!

If it was real, I think it would have sold a while ago. This is at least it's third time up. First time, as far as I know, it was "Buy it Now" $18,500. Then, it was listed as $15,000, "Buy it Now" $18,500. Now, it's $19,000, "Buy it Now" $19,500. I tried to get info on it, but he wouldn't answer my E-mails.

Doubt it's real. But a nice Matador Red 70 went for low 40's a couple of days ago. I thought that was a great buy.

At a Buy it Now of $19,500, there has to be a BIG STORY involved.

I called this guy to ask some questions. He said that it was a real RA III car, but didn't really know if it was a judge or not. He seemed uncomfortable answering about it being a Judge or not. He also said he had a deposit on it, but took my name and number anyway. Anyone want to run the VIN and post it?

Just stumbled in here. I'm the one who picked up the Matador Red ' 70 Judge on eBay last month. Great car. Just had it delivered by Pssport. Have some questions about the EES system as well as the vaccum line routing. Is there a particular forum I should go to?

Cardinal Red, not Matador Red. My mistake.

racerboy, either start a new topic here or in the 70-72 GTO Tempest & LeMans TECH section. I or someone else should be able to answer your questions.

Thanks taximan,
I live in Flanders. Are you going to the East Coast Nationals? I plan on bringing the Judge there.

Anybody have any tidbits they'd like to share on prepping a car for show? This is the first time I'm actually showing a car. I actually won 3rd place last year at the East Coast Nationals with my 1970 Trans Am (RA III, 4-spd), but I never intended to show the car. I just parked it in the ‘Other” section. ). I may try to bring both cars to the show.

Racer Boy:

I didn't see your reply until Sunday night.

I had my 69 Judge at the East Coast show yesterday. I was in the row of Judges in the first row next to the hotel. I was in the 4th spot from the front of the lot. Right next to the convertible Judge clone.

I didn't realize they weren't giving out awards until 8:30 at night. I couldn't do 12 hours at a carshow in a parking lot, so i didn't stay for awards. i have no idea if I finished in the top 3 or not.

I was in the popular vote category, but realized too late I should be in concours.

I live in Marlton, South Jersey.

Hi Craig,
I love the car so far. Maybe we can touch base off-line. I have some questions about the car that you might be able to help me with.

Hey taximan,
The guy that owned the 69 convertible lives in my hometown (New Providence). I was parked right next to him with my Judge. My 1970 TA was in the same row, but further down the lane.

I didn't attend the dinner either, but was told that the winners will be posted to the website (http://www.garden-state-gtos.org/), and that they will send you your award if you pay the postage.

I didn’t stay for the dinner last year either, but I did get my third place plaque that my 70 TA won last year in the "Open" category at this year's show. I had to go ask for it (my friend Yoda won Concours modified and he had to do the same thing to get his trophy). They did have last year's plaque at the show and gave it to me.

The show results aren't on the GS GTOs site yet. (

Frank
