Default Hydoboost leak

Does anyone have a problem with a leaky hydroboost unit, I have a small leak at the junction of the two end of the unit, were the are four smaller bolts holding the front part of the unit to the back half. Did the taste test and it is definitely brake fluid and not power sterring fluid. Cranked on all the bolt, still leaking, can The Right Stuff be used to seal up. Any comments or experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Deno

If it is brake fluid the master cylinder is leaking. Rebuild or replace master cylinder, don't try any half ass, stop gap repairs.
Brake fluid will most likely eat right through any sealer

Would the master cylinder cause a leak at the back halk of the hydoboost unit. Not familiar with the fluid mechanic of the unit, is all the brake fluid supposed to be contained in the master cylinder and of course the brake lines?

YES. If it were leaking at the front of the hydro unit, it could be either brake fluid or PS fluid. If it is laeking at the rear of the hydro boost unit, it is most probably PS fluid. If it is the latter, you need either a new hydro boost unit, or a rebuild on it.

See drawings below to help you understand better.

There is a weep hole on the Hydro boost unit where the master cylinder bolts. The brake fluid is leaking from the back of the master cylinder out the weep hole and running down to the parting line.

Have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder?

Yes the rear reserviour does goe down slowly and need refill every couple weeks. What is the weep hole for and if it does leak there do I need a new master cylinder. The fluid is definitely brake.

Yes, you can rebuild (the cheapest rout) or replace the master cylinder.
The weep hole provides a drain for situations just like this. So that the brake fluid does not contaminate the power steering fluid.

I just can't understand why people put them in upside down, and defeat that drainage function?

I would just replace the master rather than try to rebuild it. They never seem to last as long when you do.
