Give me an offer for it and I will check it during the weekend, I have stored it in a building a couple of miles from me.

Hate offers, sent you an Email, would be nice if you did replay on it and just told me what you want for it, then we can take it from there.

I will see what they want for it. A PNP is a yard where you get to grab what you want, but no torches are allowed, so carving the upper cowl may be somewhat difficult at best. They recently changed owners and the business model has shifted more to a traditional yard.
I need to get a trim tool and snap up the windshield trim too. |

Great Scarebird, but please do not make any hassle out of it.
Wish it was like this here, just go to a junk yard and pick the items you need, well we can do that but not US cars.. |

Then the frame, after blasting it got the Eastwood treatment, inside it got two runs with the internal frame coating, outside 1 layer with rust encapsulator, 2 coats with extreme chassis primer and then 2 coats with extreme chassis black satin (60-70% gloss)
Here hanging hi with primer The part number, vin is on top of the frame. I did also finish the radiator support, here in rust encapsulator (I like the silver one, just makes it easier to not miss anything when you paint it black later) |

These cars are not usually laying around boneyards here either...
What may work best is if Roar's piece does not work is if I can put you in touch with the yard and they would handle it - cutting out the piece you need and the shipping to a US address. |

Could you just give them a phone call for me and ask if they are willing to cut it out and if so what they want for it ? Would just be nice to get an idea of the price level. |

they will not pull it. I would need to go get it, and they do NOT allow torch, hot saws, etc in the yard so it would be a battery powered sawzall thing.

As of now, if I can not get it from Roar I will make it my self, not really a problem but just easier to weld in a replacement that you do not have to fabricate. |

Happy New Year !!
The last day of the year was spent working on the frame, test fitting fuel and brake lines and so on.
And I have a problem where I need your help, when mounting the brake vale one of the bolt did brake ... no power used, it just snapped.. I went through all my boxes of old bolts and of course so did I not have one to replace it with. So does anyone have a correct bolt to donate or sell ?? Here you can see it missing in the left bolt hole.. |

No markings, just the lenght and the cut on the tip for the treads. |

I will see what I do with it, I guess going with black paint will be right, not so strange that there is almost no paint left, the surface is really smooth. |

New question...
On the center parking brake cable are there two guides/links that goes from the cable and to the floor ? And also the same type of guide/link on the rear lower control arms ? If so does anybody have a picture of them ? could not find any in my books. |

LOFFEN,
I sent you a PM earlier. Thought I would pass this tip along: When I did my 68 convertible I ordered (used alot) a MR Gs Fastner Catalog which has lifesize pictures of fastners, many GM products including clips, bolts, nuts, screws...all that. Plastic chroming too. They replicated many fastners from original parts cars. You can get it online now and knowing you will need other "new" fastners it might come in handy if we cant find some used ones for you. Like I said, I have boxes and you are welcome to what you need. Just PM me. http://www.mrgusa.com/ This will help with the descriptions taken from their FAQ page; What does 1/4-20, 5/16-18, and 5/24 mean? 1/4-20 stands for #1/4 or #14 screw or bolt with 20 threads per inch. 5/16-18 stands for #5/16 screw or bolt with 18 threads per inch also referred to as USS course thread. 5/16-24 stands for #5/16 screw or bolt with 24 threads per inch also referred to as SAE fine thread. Also 8-32 is course. 10-24 is course while 10-32 is fine. Jeff |

Thanks Jeff
The link was great, will go through it, has anyone tried their kits ? Why did you guys not change to the metric system ??? Ok it is really no problem with UNC and UNF her but it takes some more time to get hold of the bolt and nuts And I allways have some new J-nuts and 5/16-18 bolts in stock together with various clips and so on, it is just this darn bolt that seams to be one of a kind.. I have other ones that could be used but they does not look the same so it would be with a regular hex head and a washer, it will do the job but.. |
