Default Steering Wheel replacement

I want to restore or replace my 69 "wood grain" steering wheel. It appears it will cost(including shipping and sales tax) about $350 more to restore my old wheel and the somewhat pitted spokes, and it would take 8-10 weeks to get the restoration done. I have looked at Ames, OPGI and The Parts Place for replacements. The shade of the color for the 69 year appears darker than earlier years for the Ames and OPGI. The Parts Place shows the same lighter shade for all the years. The shade of the underside(not faded as much) of my original wheel seems to more closely match the Ames and OPGI products. Is the darker shade correct for the 69 year?
Has anyone bought the Ames or OPGI wheel and are they satisfied with the product?
Is there another source I should investigate?
Ames does not state the wheel's diameter and OPGI wheel states theirs is 16". My old one is 15". The OPGI wheel is stated to fit GTO, Catalina and Bonneville. Perhaps the larger cars had a bigger wheel. I guess I could live with the extra inch. Since I do not have power steering, perhaps it would help turning a bit.
