I had a 73 Brewster Green TA, just not an SD, I wish I had that one back too...

Hey Bob67firebird428,
I think I have a Pop-Up you could borrow to get a little shade for working.

Here are a pair Brewster (one automatic and one 4-speed) cars that are 29 apart in production from June of 1973, and yeap there both Super Duties!

Wanna know how stupid and envious we can be? The first thing I thought of when I saw this pic, was look at all that room he has to work! I guess the snow is always whiter on the other side!

Dow board around the perimeters ,one floor drain , plumbing for a bathroom , water line , compaction, fine grading , insulation blanket , 6 gauge mesh , 3/8" pek tubing for heat ,3000 zip ties ,and finally manifolds . Crew coming in Monday to pour . Then I'll be parking my 2 sd ta's . Red 4 speed and green auto .I'll post some pics of garage when I get time.

hey bob67firebird428,
That reminds me when I excavated for my shop as they put the tailing from the excavation around my 69 Firebird (parked for winter) and I had that fn thing buried like you. it was clay and it was the worst job trying to dig it out I even got a flat. That was not a good day for any1 around here.

Dude I had the same garage for many years. I remember wrenching in the winter under a 4x4 of mine wearing carhartt coveralls. When I slid out I had a layer of snow on me!

Looks like youve been hard at work Ken. Looks nice! You just buy all those signs or have you been collecting them?

Been collecting for awhile, like 25 years. Ex-wife got most of the good stuff out of my collection. My pride and joy is the rectangular 'Sinclair' sign high up on the wall. It's from the mid-30s, heavy gauge steel, stamped, porcelain, weighs a lot. It don't look like it but that pup's 8' long.

That Dr Pepper sign is NOS and is from the late 50s.. Got a real cool NOS Hires root beer sign from the late 40s sittin' in the basement.

Other stuff I got cheap or free. The 'Shell' sign I got in St. Charles years ago for like $40. It's got bullet holes and everything in it.

I have to ask how that happened? Was she also a collector, or was this a spite thing? I can never understand how people lose their personal stuff like this in a divorce. Forced to sell I could sooner understand than the ex getting something that doesn't really mean anything to them. Unless she was also a collector.

Spite?

Spite.

She sold 'em, kept the cash. Stuff was legally mine, we agreed on it, signed the papers stating so. Went to court to recover the funds to no avail.

Easy come, easy go. Pissed me off but I moved on. Water under the bridge, as some would say.

That was 14 years ago. I'm in a way better situation now. Look at that red thing in the pic. I'd rather have that than some old advertising signs.
