A little rough but all there. I don't know much about the values on these cars but this one may be worthwhile at the price it's at right now-

$3600 did not meet the reserve. I would have thought that that was a decent number for the seller. Needs lots of work.

Yes I agree due to the amount of work the car would have neede $3600 would have been high on the sale market for me. Another thing it's not a GTO which was also a point i was looking at. I guess the RARE in the add should have told me the price wasn't realistic...
I gave $800 for my 74 GTO in just about the same shape.. Oh well people have there own idea of worth when it comes to old cars these days. I would be courious to how much the reserve was.....

To me it was about an $1800~$2000 car...and that's IF I had a lot of the parts on hand to make it a solid driver. Could be a nice car.

From the pictures in the add, that car is going to need a lot of sheet metal. Guarantee those spots where you can see the deep surface rust is paper then. That cowl is junk, the hood would probably need some metal work, and the front header is probably easily dented by pushing on it. The back tail panel is also shot and I'd imagine the floors aren't much better. Remove those taillights and you'll remove whats left of the sheet metal around them. The good thing is it appears to be a "complete" car. $1500 is a generous price IMO.

The $3600 may have been a shill. I know I would have taken it if it were a serious offer.

Rob,
Your so right about the metal. When i removed the tail lights from my GTO the whole metal surrounding them came out . Oh and the paper thin spots LOL when i started grinding them it turned out that i had the whole structure of the trunk lid seal that had to be rebuilt as well. It is typical of most ebay sellers especially when RARE is used. I've been a ebay shopper for yrs and everytime i saw RARE used it's price was always thru the roof LOL....

Just gotta know what your looking at and what to look for. That car would/will require two complete full qtrs that including the door post, window track area and the trunk rails, not skins. And I'm not sure if the ones available aftermarket will even work on a hatchback car. Hatchback looked scary around the trim pieces also. Those are getting hard to find. Good thing is you have more than just the Ventura body to harvest parts from.

There are a half dozen low mileage Venturas on craigslist right now.

Just use autotempest.com

These cars do not bring a lot of money.
