That is probably as clean an "original driver" as I've ever seen; at least from what can I tell in your pics. Scored big on that one!!

I notice today while doing some clean up in the engine compartment that it still has the packard spark plug wires dated 3rd quarter 1979,Jim have you weighed you're GA yet. This week i'm either adding some rally II or 15x8 snowflakes.

Very nice. I always liked that era car.
They are not sexy ,like a 70 GTO,more like handsome, business like.
Time for a mild 455,keep it a sleeper!

Cool.
I had a very simmilar '80 Lemans, 1988-1992.
Mine was two-tone, maroon over burgandy. It had the 229 V-6 and no A/C.

I agree 100 %. The GA's, Lemans and Malibu's were actually pretty "elderly" looking with their 14" steel wheels with 4" of backspacing. But put on some Rallye II's or even better, some Alumastars with 3.5's in front and 8" or more in back and they took on a real attitude.

Does that finally assembly location say Oshawa, Ontario? They must have built some for sale in the U.S.A. because I thought thought all the A bodies except Grand Ams came with the 267 as the base V-8 in Canada.

Tin injun Tom,your correct it was built in Oshawa, Ontario and shipped to McCaysville,Ga.It was new to me that they built Lemans in Canada,i wish it had the Turbo 350 instead of the metric 200.

Nice looking 80 Lemans. Looks like you got a good deal.

I also have an 80 that I've been tinkering with for a few years.

Keep us up to date on your plans and progress.

Well i going to have to sell it,i live in a great neighborhood but only a few block away it turns to sh8t.There has been cars stolen and broken into for the last few months and i'm afraid that the Lemans is next.Since i live in a historic neighborhood i can't just tear down my old rotten garage until i submit my plans for the new one including blue prints and list of all the materials being used yadda yadda yadda.
I can't even tear down the old one i have to let it fall down,so before some a-hole steals it,i decided to sell it.I just don't have 15 to 20 grand for the new garage yet.Just last weekend when i was in Ohio for the T/A nats 5 cars were broken into friday night.

Man that stinks I know what you mean though. I try to keep mine in the garage but have it outside while I'm renovating my truck. Whenever its parked outside, it has a brake pedal club and a steering wheel club installed. A real looking rubber snake on the drivers seat wouldn't hurt. Don't want it to end up with 24" rims and a color changing paint job. Why not just insure it to the max and enjoy it? Comp. coverage is usually reasonable. You may want to get some appraisals to justify its value.

We can't let these thugs control our lives.

I try to get it insure with an collector car insurance but it's not worth enough money plus i don't have a closed garage. My house is 100 years old and the garage is probably 60 to 70 YO and has no doors on the front. But i do have full coverage thru Geico but if it's is stolen i don't think they would give me crap for it.
