Looked at it a little more this afternoon. The bumper supports are aluminum (they are stamped KAISER). It looks like someone recently removed the rear sway bar (maybe in the transport?), measured the front sway bar, it is 1-1/4" thick! Carb is a quadrajet. Anyone know what trans they used in 79 on these? Maybe I can find time to get it up and jackstands this weekend and look it over better. -Jim

Jim,
Very Cool! I believe the trans behind the 301 is a 200 metric...I stripped the 301 out of mine, removed any interchangeable parts and scrapped a running 301 and trans. It was a shame because it was spotless inside and ran good..Couldnt get $50 for a complete runner. Aluminum bumper supports are a nice surprise.

Looks to be in pretty good shape Jim. I bet it's a St. Therese built GP, and maybe one I delivered back in 79.

That trans could be a TH350. I've seen them both ways.

RE aluminum panels, I saw them on all makes when I was working at the dealership when these cars were common.
